Is Your Child Missing Wisdom Teeth?

A new study has shown an association between local dental anesthesia and missing wisdom teeth.

Evidence has shown that children, ages 2-6 years who receive local anesthesia, are at risk for underdeveloped or no wisdom teeth.  According to the study, this is caused by the injection itself disrupting the growth of the tooth.

This is an interesting topic. My 18year old granddaughter has no wisdom teeth, and had surgery when she was 3 to correct a lazy eye. Now I'm wondering if there is any correlation. Thanks for posting!

Very interesting:) Im in my 20's and have no bottom wisdom teeth. Wonder if this if from all the work I had done when I was younger?
