I've been following this story for a few weeks now, and you may have read some of my previous blogs about this, but if you haven't here's the scoop..
A couple of months ago, it was discovered that an Oklahoma dentist, Dr. W. Scot Harrington, was using dirty tools and equipment to do procedures on patients. He, as well as the staff, were also caught reusing needles. After an investigation, it was determined that due to his negligence, nearly 7,000 people were exposed to Hep C and HIV.
Testing began immediately following the investigation and still continues on now. Today, the report is that so far 57 people have tested positive for Hep C and 3 people tested positive for HIV.
Although Harrington voluntarily surrendered his license, he has yet to be formally charged with any crime.
