We all do it. When the house is clean, it’s the weekend, there’s nothing on TV, and nothing better to do.. We snack. Problem is, a few potato chips here, and few cookies there, they add up in pounds on your midsection!! Here’s how to stop:
Pre-make your snacks- Put an even mixture of healthy options on a plate and put it in the fridge. Most snacking comes from the convenience of opening a bag. Now it’s just as simple as opening the fridge.
Sip Water- Slowly sipping water throughout the day will help eliminate snacking urges.
Walk- Instead of grabbing the box of crackers, grab your mp3 player and take a brisk walk around the block.
Call someone- It’s a GREAT distraction from wanting to eat.
Keep your hands busy- Do a crossword, work on a project, give yourself a pedi. Organize your office. Anything to keep your hands from reaching for another chip.
Keep your mouth busy- Chew gum!!! It satisfies your urge to nibble on something without the added calories!!
And finally-
Control your snack supplies- Only stock healthy snack options. If the junk isn’t in your cupboard or drawer, you’re not going to eat it!!

Great blog Moobie! I never thought about making healthy snacks ahead of time and storing them in the fridge. That's the first place I look when I'm about to snack/eat out of boredom. Thanks!
